WADSWORTH, OHIO
July 13, 1972
Ira Newcomer, 89, retired farmer and lifetime resident of this area, died on June 25 following several months of failing health. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Mennonite Church where he had served in various capacities. He and his wife Laura, who survives, were married 63 years. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Fisher and Mrs. Doris Hostetler of Orrville; two sons, Elban and Floyd of Seville; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mable [sic Mabel] Lytle of Wooster. Funeral services on June 28 were in charge of Aden Yoder and James Steiner, with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery. — L. K.
