Harold James Neumann

Harold James Neumann passed away Sept. 6. He was born Mar. 13 [1938] to Olga and Jacob Neumann in Comox, B.C. He developed a strong work ethic while working at home on the farm. He accepted Christ and was baptized. He completed his engineering degree in Vancouver. He married Violet Kaethler while living in Vancouver. They moved to Ottawa, where he worked for the federal government for several years. They then returned to Vancouver, where he was self-employed in engineering and residential construction. They were involved in many aspects of church work during their time in Vancouver. They were challenged by illness and work stress, but he affirmed that the love of God enabled him to stand firmly: “The assurance of forgiveness and God’s love has enabled me to stand up under the stress and turmoil of work, illness and bankruptcy and I am confident of this: When my life is over, I will go to meet my God and I will live with Him forever”. Predeceased by his father and 1 sister, he is mourned by Violet, son Lloyd; daughter Teresa Klassen, 3 grandchildren; his mother; and 1 sister. The funeral was Sept. 11 at Northview Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C., with Vern Heidebrecht ministering.
