WILLIAM ISAAK NEUFELD

William Isaak Neufeld died Aug. 22 at age 97. He was born Nov. 10, 1908 in Waldheim, Russia to Isaak and Anna Neufeld. He attended the village school until the revolution. His schooling was interrupted again and again as his parents moved from place to place. William's family immigrated to Canada in 1926. At 7, William made a commitment to Jesus at an evangelistic meeting in Winnipeg, he recommitted his life to God and was baptized. He married Hildegard Neufeld in 1941. William became a teacher and taught at Mennonite Educational Institute, Clearbrook, B.C., for 13 years.
