Jacob H. Neufeld was born July 19, 1895 to Heinrich and Helena Pauls Neufeld near Inman, Kan. He attended West Eagle School. His father passed away when Jacob was only seven years of age.

He was baptized upon confession of faith in his Redeemer Jesus Christ by Rev. Klass Kroeker on May 13, 1917 and became a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. He served in the army from 1917 to 1919, during World War I.

He was married on Oct. 31, 1920 to Maria Fehdrau. She passed away May 29, 1945. On April 1, 1958 he was married to Katie Friesen, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows until Sept. 29, 1959 when again his beloved wife was taken in death.

Jacob was a man who endeared himself to many. He was a farmer and plumber by trade. He often remarked as he submitted himself to the will of God, "All things work together for good to them that love God."

The last days of his life were spent at the Schmidt Nursing Home. He passed away on Nov. 7, 1966 at the age of 71 years, three months, and 18 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure three sisters, Miss Anna Neufeld, Mrs. Agnes E. Kroeker and Mrs. Helen Regier, and two brothers, Henry and John, all of Inman, Kan.; also one aunt, Mrs. A. J. Pauls of Buhler. The following sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law also mourn his departure: Mrs. J. C. Klassen and Mrs. Julius Unruh of Hutchinson, Mrs. Heinie Friesen of Inman, Mrs. Pete Klassen and Mrs. Aaron Friesen of Washington, Mrs. Henry Friesen and Mrs. Mary Shaver of Winnipeg, and Mrs. Anna Webster, Kingston, Ontario.
