• Funeral services for William Neufeld, 75, were held Monday afternoon at the Faith Mennonite Church with Rev. Myron Schrag, the pastor, in charge. Mr. Neufeld died July 14 at a Haysville nursing home after a long illness. He farmed in the Medford, Okla. community for many years, moving to Newton upon retirement in 1966. Surviving are his widow, the former Elizabeth Fast; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Buller of Wichita; two brothers, John of Medford and Jake of Reedley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

WILLIAM NEUFELD
William Neufeld was born Nov. 14, 1896 on a farm near Medford, Okla. the son of Anna and Heinrich Neufeld. He was the oldest of four sons. He attended a rural school near Medford.
On Sept. 7, 1919 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Fast.
In 1926 their only child, Elsie, was born. The family made their home on the farm where he was born, and lived their 47 years before they retired to Newton, Kan. in 1966.
He was very active in the Mennonite Church at Medford and enjoyed singing at various church functions. Also he donated many hours of work to the building of a new church at Medford.
In 1969 he and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton, Kan. During his last years of illness he suffered much pain. He died July 14, 1972 at Green Meadows Nursing Home. He was 75 years old.
Survivors include his wife; his daughter and son-in-law and five grandchildren; two brothers, John of Medford and Jake of Reedley, Calif. — The Family.
