KATHERINE NEUFELD

Katherine Neufeld of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Dec. 4. She was born Jan. 23, 1922 to Jacob and Anna Martens in Tiege, Russia. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925, settling in Springstein, Man. She grew up in Coaldale, Alta. and worked as a practical nurse before marrying John Neufeld Oct. 27, 1946. The family moved to Edmonton in 1954, to Chilliwack, B.C. in 1965 and to Clearbrook in 1973. She was a member of Bakerview MB Church in Clearbrook. Predeceased by son Elmer and 1 brother, she is survived by her husband; children Don, Dave, Dorothy Hayden and Vicki Talbot; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters. The funeral was Dec. 7 in Bakerview MB Church, with Harry Heidebrecht ministering.
