Mrs. Henry B. Neufeld

Mrs. Henry B. Neufeld (Bertha Heidebrecht) was born March 26, 1895, at Moundridge, Kansas.

At the age of three her parents moved to Inman, Kansas, where she spent the days of her youth.

Here she received her education and other advantages which helped her to cope better with the problems of life. She realized her sinfulness and lost condition, found peace in her heart and was baptized by Elder Abr. Ratzlaff on the 13th day of June 1913. She at this time united in membership with the Hoffnungsau church.

Sept. 27, 1916, she was united in marriage with Henry B. Neufeld. Their union was blessed with 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son.

In the year 1922 she moved with her family to Perryton, Texas, where she resided until the spring of 1927. Here she united with the Bethel church in 1922 and has remained a faithful member unto her end. The sister has confessed Christ, lived for Him and died for Him. Henceforth she shall receive the Crown of Life.

She reached the age of 32 years, 7 months and 23 days.

The funeral services were held at the Hoffnungsau church Sunday, Nov. 6. Rev. D. C. Ewert officiated and was assisted by Revs. A. J. Dyckfi [sic Dyck] Abr. Ratzlaff, and F. H. Koehn, Rev. B. H. Janzen spoke at the home and Rev. Klaas Kroeker at the cemetery. — Inman Review.
