WIFE OF RUNDSCHAU EDITOR CALLED AWAY IN DEATH JANUARY 5

Winnipeg, man., Jan. 6 — Mrs. Anna Neufeld, 47, of 701 Arlington St., who had been active for 20 years as aid to her husband, Rev. Herman Neufeld, in work at the Mennonite Brethren church, of which Mr. Neufeld was pastor, died from a heart attack at her home, Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Neufeld came to Winnipeg from Pennsylvania, with her husband, in 1923.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Anna, Mrs. J. Toews, with the United church mission of Poplar River Indian Reserve; Kati, Mrs. John Klassen, Winnipeg, and Lydia, Mrs. Henry Lane, Aberdeen, Sask.; also a son, Harry, at home, and her mother, Mrs. Cornelius Neufeld, North Kildoman; three sisters: Mrs. John Koslowsky, Mrs. Jacob Wedel, Mrs. Jacob Peters, and a brother Jacob Neufeld, all of Winnipeg. — Winnipeg Tribute.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: According to further word from Winnipeg, funeral services for Mrs. Neufeld (who was the wife of Rev. Herman Neufeld, editor of Mennonitische Rundschau) were held January 8 at the Mennonite Brethren church, Juno and William streets in Winnipeg. Messages to the bereaved family and assembled friends were spoken by Rev. Jacob Neufeld, Rev. Abram Peters, Dr. J. A. Cormie, Rev. Heinrich Toews and Rev. Peter Kornelsen. Sometime before her death Mrs. Neufeld had submitted to seven operations and endured much suffering. Burial was in the Brookside cemetery. To editor Neufeld and the bereaved family the Review extends heartfelt sympathy.)
