DOUBLE FUNERAL SERVICE HELD AT BERNE, IND. FOR HUSBAND AND WIFE

Berne, Ind. — Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. David P. Neuenschwander, who died within two days of each other, were held two days of each other, were held Oct. 1 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church near Berne. Rev. Alvin Becker, the pastor, and Rev. E. G. Steiner officiated.

Mr. Neuenschwander, 76, and his wife, the former Katherine L. Amstutz, 61, were both lifelong residents here. They retired from the farm six years ago.

Mr. Neuenschwander died Sept. 27 after a four-week illness of leukemia. His wife, who died Sept. 29, had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill a week. Their large family includes 10 children and 17 grandchildren.
