EARLY SETTLER DIES AT 84

Comins, Mich. — Funeral services for Edwin C. Neff, 84, who was among the early Mennonite settlers in the Oscoda County region, were held March 3 at the Fairview Mennonite Church. He died at the Au Sable Valley Rest home here.

A native of Sugarcreek, Ohio, he came to this northern Michigan region in 1905, farming in the Comins community until entering the Home about four years go. His only survivors are nieces and nephews.
