Ontario Youth Killed In Lancaster County

ONE INJURED WHEN CAR CRASHES INTO TRUCK ON HIGHWAY

Lancaster, Pa. — The 25th fatal highway accident in Lancaster county this year claimed the life of Joseph P. Nafzinger, 24, early Saturday morning, July 17. The body of the young man was returned to Milverton, Ontario, his former home, for burial, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Aaron E. Nafzinger, who had been visiting in Lancaster county.

Young Nafzinger, who was employed at a filling station here, was attempting to pass another vehicle on Route 72 south of Lyndon when his car went out of control and crashed into an oncoming truck driven by John G. Nauman, 52, of Annville. Mr. Nauman was not injured, but his 14-year-old son, Ralph, was thrown out on the highway and suffered brush burns to his face and arms.

The left side of the car was sheared off, and an estimated $2000 damage was caused to the left side of the truck.

The youth is survived by his parents, one sister and five brothers, all of the home in Ontario.
