Kansas Farmer Dies Of Injuries Suffered In Colorado Crash

Harper, Kan. — Funeral services were held at the Crystal Springs Mennonite Church near here on July 7 for Christian Lee Naffziger, 75, who suffered fatal injuries in railroad crossing accident in Powers County, Colorado on June 29.

The Colorado State Patrol said Mr. Naffziger failed to see cars blocking the crossing in the town of Bristol and drove into the side of the train. He died July 4 at the Powers Medical Center.

Mr. Naffziger was a native of Cass County, Missouri and had lived in this area since 1907. Surviving are his widow, the former Ida Kauffman; a son Robert of Conway Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Weaver of Newton and Mrs. Weldon Roupp of Hubbard, Ore.; a brother, J. D., and sister, Minnie Swartzendruber, both of Harper.
