&bull; Funeral services for Jacob J. Nachtigal, 79, retired farmer and Santa Fe railroad employee, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Arnold Epp, the pastor, officiated, and burial was made at the Hoffnungsau Church cemetery near Inman. Mr. Nachtigal died March 12 at Bethel Deaconess hospital after a long illness. He had resided in Newton the past 20 years. Surviving are his widow, Justina; two daughters, two sons, 13 grandchildren, and one brother, George, of Hutchinson.
