text of obituary:

Mrs. H. P. Nachtigal

Mrs. H. P. Nachtigal nee Ediger, was born Nov. 10, 1883 in McPherson county, Kansas, a daughter of Heinrich Ediger and Helena Janzen Ediger. The days of her childhood she spent in the home of her parents, where she grew up to womanhood under the influence of a Christian home. Even in her childhood days she learned to love and adore her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. in the year 1903 on June 1, she was baptized upon confession of faith in Christ by the Rev. Abraham Ratzlaff and united with the Hoffnungsau Mennonite church whose true and faithful member she also was at the time of her departure. As she had loved her Master in the days of youth and sunshine, so she loved Him even to the end. She held fast to Him in the many trials and hardships of life, and so she has safely been led through the vale of Jordan, through the Valley of the Shadow of Death. because for her to live was Christ, so death to her is gain.

In 1907 she was united in marriage with her now bereaved husband, Henry P. Nachtigal. In this union they shared joys and sorrows, blessings and trials for more than 22 years. To this union ten children were born of whom three preceded her into the great Beyond.

She reached the age of 47 years, 1 month and 28 days. We say Goodnight here knowing that if we are true to Him she faithfully served, we will say Good morning up there.
