She was born at Seven Mile, O., the daughter of James and Wilhelmina (Augspurger) Moon, and was a graduate of Miami and Ohio State Universities. She taught at Bluffton College for 40 years before her retirement in 1961. For many years she served as dean of women.

Retired Bluffton Professor Dies

Bluffton, Ohio. — Funeral services for Miss M'Della Moon, 73, retired professor of biological sciences at Bluffton College, were conducted at the First Mennonite Church here on Wednesday evening, Sept. 18. Final services and burial took place the following afternoon at the Trenton, O. Mennonite Church. Rev. Jacob T. Friesen, Rev. Kenneth Shelly and Rev. J. E. Amstutz officiated.

Miss Moon died Sept. 16 at Lima Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

She was born at Seven Mile, O., the daughter of James and Wilhelmina (Augspurger) Moon, and was a graduate of Miami and Ohio State Universities. She taught at Bluffton College for 40 years before her retirement in 1961. For many years she served as dean of women.

Miss Moon was widely known for her promotion of conservation. In 1953 she was honored by the American Men of Science, and who was named in "Who's Who Among Education of the Middle West."

She was a fellow of the Ohio Academy of Science, a member of the American Forestry Assn., and was active in a number of community organizations.

Last year Miss Moon was honored by the Business and Professional Women's Club as Bluffton's "Woman of the Year."

The only survivors are three nieces and two nephews.
