Sylvester Miller, a retired farmer of three miles northeast of Wakarusa, Ind., died Thursday morning. Feb. 18, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gerber, southeast of Nappanee. He had been at the Gerber home the past six weeks, ill of complications.

He was born in St. Joseph county, Ind. March 20, 1880, the son of Jacob and Barbara (Livinghouse) Miller. He married Susie Christophel Dec. 25, 1902. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 25, 1952.

Surviving with the widow is the daughter at whose home he died, and two brothers, Jerry Miller of Elkhart and James Miller of Wakarusa. He was a member of the North Main Street Mennonite church of Nappanee.

The funeral service was held on Saturday at 1:30 in the Miller home, and at 2:00 p.m. at the North Main Street Mennonite church in Nappanee. Homer North officiated and burial was made in the Yellow Creek cemetery.

SYLVESTER MILLER

Sylvester Miller, a retired farmer of three miles northeast of Wakarusa, Ind., died Thursday morning. Feb. 18, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gerber, southeast of Nappanee. He had been at the Gerber home the past six weeks, ill of complications.

He was born in St. Joseph county, Ind. March 20, 1880, the son of Jacob and Barbara (Livinghouse) Miller. He married Susie Christophel Dec. 25, 1902. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 25, 1952.

Surviving with the widow is the daughter at whose home he died, and two brothers, Jerry Miller of Elkhart and James Miller of Wakarusa. He was a member of the North Main Street Mennonite church of Nappanee.
