Small Girl Lost in Mile-Deep Mine
All hope has faded for recovery of seven-year-old Ruth Ann Miller, who fell into a mile-deep mine shaft at Calumet, Mich. Little Ruthie fell into a bush-covered hole alongside a concrete cap covering the long abandoned mine while berry picking with her 10-year-old brother.
