Marion, S. D. &#8212; Funeral services were held at the Salem-Zion church of Freeman recently for Peter J. Miller, 85, who had been a member of that congregation since his baptism by Rev. Christ. Kaufman 70 years ago, on March 21, 1880. He came to the Dakotas in the Mennonite migration of 1874 and had lived in the Freeman community ever since.

Marion, S. D. — Funeral services were held at the Salem-Zion church of Freeman recently for Peter J. Miller, 85, who had been a member of that congregation since his baptism by Rev. Christ. Kaufman 70 years ago, on March 21, 1880. He came to the Dakotas in the Mennonite migration of 1874 and had lived in the Freeman community ever since.

Mr. Miller is survived by six daughters and two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Julius Miller and Mrs. Peter Franz; one brother, Jonathan; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
