The driver of the car going east ran off the highway and back on again in front of Emmet Boese’s car going west. Mr. and Mrs. Emmet Boese and another couple were on their way home to Larned. Mrs. Boese and the other couple were killed instantly. Emmet lived until Sunday. In the other car were three young men. Two were killed instantly, and the driver may be on the road to recovery. He has been removed to a hospital in Wichita where his parents live.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Miller of Hoisington were on their way home from a ball game at Lindsborg Friday evening, Jan. 2, when they ran into a freight train near Genesco and were killed instantly. Emmet Boese and Mrs. Miller were cousins. — Daisy Rudiger.
