Well-Known Indiana Amish Bishop Dies

Lagrange, Ind. — John S. Miller, 82, well-known Amish bishop living near Topeka, died June 24 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He had been admitted to the hospital the day before to undergo leg surgery.

Bishop Miller was a native and lifelong resident of Lagrange County. He was married in 1905 to Martha Miller. She survives with two sons, nine daughters, 82 grandchildren, 122 great-grandchildren.
