SUSIE MILLER

Susie May (Unzicker) Miller, wife of the late L. C. Miller, passed away Dec. 16, 1958. Funeral services were held on Dec. 19 at the Blunt Mortuary in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was born May 10, 1887, and was 71 years, seven months old at the time of her death.

She married L. C. Miller on Dec. 29, 1907. To this union were born five sons and two daughters.

She was preceded in death by a son Bobby, and her husband, who passed away Nov. 18, 1955. She is survived by four sons, LeRoy of Mesa, Ariz., Frank and Donald of Boise, Ida. and Jerry of Maccasin [sic Moccasin], Mont.; two daughters, Florence (Landis) Foster of Boise, Ida. and Mary McKelly of Melba, Ida.; two brothers, Vernon Unzicker of Los Angeles, Calif. and Glen Unzicker of Elkhart, Ind.; and a sister Ruth Himbaugh of Elkhart, Ind.

Susie was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Colorado Springs, Colo. Her husband had served there as pastor for many years until his health failed.

Although Susie was blind for nearly 22 years she was always patient and an observing person. She was a real inspiration to all who come [sic] in cantact [sic] with her.

Just two years ago she fell and broke her shoulder, and since that time had been a complete invalid at the Mennonite hospital at LaJunta, Colo., where all was done to make her comfortable that human hands could do. In all her suffering she always looked to the Lord for comfort and understanding, always praying for His return.
