Birth date: 1890 Apr 6
text of obituary:
MRS. D. D. MILLER
Maggie (Kuhns) Miller was born in the Samuel Kuhns home in McPherson County, Kan. on April 6, 1890. She died at the Goshen General Hospital, Goshen, Ind., on June 19, 1970, having been a patient since March 24, at the age of 80 years, two months, 13 days. The Millers have lived at 909 College Avenue in Goshen for the last four years.
On June 16, 1914, Maggie was married to David D. Miller in the Kuhns home at Manchester, Okla. Surviving are the husband, three sons and two daughters: D. Paul of Normal, Ill., Dennis D. of Washington, D. C., N. Emerson of Bluffton, Ohio, Ruth E. Willems and Ethel L. Stutzman, both of Goshen. There are 16 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter born one hour after Maggie’s death. There are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Taton of Argonia and Lula Klinglesmith of Hutchinson, Kan.
Maggie had a deep devotion and gave real support to the Lord’s work. She was a sincere wife and mother. Her husband was a minister for 53 years. Her support to that effort was praiseworthy. The Millers labored in the areas of Manchester, Okla.; Protection, Kan.; Kansas City, Kan.; and Berlin, Ohio. Besides raising a family, she was a good neighbor and helper wherever present. Maggie will be missed much. But the Lord has taken her home and we want to say, “Thy will be done.”
The Brethren Harold Myers and Paul Hummel officiated at the services. Interment was in the Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
