Young Minister Dies After 4-Year Illness

Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services for Rev. Roy Eugene Meyer, 28, were held Dec. 26 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here, with Rev. Charles Zimmerman, Rev. Howard Dunlap and Rev. Charles Kauffman officiating.

The young minister died Dec. 23 in Detwiler Hospital after four years of failing health. A graduate of Fort Wayne Bible College, he had held pastorates in Flint, Mich. and Edon, Ohio. He had lived in Archbold for the past two years.

Survivors include his widow, Joan Sue; a son Brent Alan; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Meyer of Lima, Ohio; three brothers and one sister.
