Ross Metzler, a well-known pastor, evangelist and Bible teacher, died suddenly at his home at the age of 71. He is survived by daughters Avonelle Peachey of Belleville, Pa., Jane Lehman of New York, Rhoda Yoder of Salisbury, Pa., Shirley Yoder of Virginia, and Ruth Kuhns of Chambersburg, Pa.; sons Ralph of Bedford, Pa., Marvin of Claysburg, Pa., and Jay, Elmer, David and James, all of Belleville, Pa.; 33 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers. Services were held at the Bedford and Allensville Mennonite churches, with Erie Renno and Timothy Peachey officiating. — Nancy A. Byler.
