LOIS E. MESCHBERGER
Lois Eunice Meschberger was born April 10, 1900, north of El Reno, Okla. She departed from this life May 11, 1968.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Dina Meschberger. She was baptized at the age of 12 by her uncle, Rev. Joel Sprunger, into the Mennoville Mennonite Church. She remained a member there until services at this church were discontinued and then she moved her membership to the Geary Mennonite Church.
Her parents were workers in the old Darlington Mennonite Mission. Because of this, she had a deep interest in Indian mission work, both home and foreign.
She lived most of her life in this community, giving herself in service to other people.
Survivors are: two sisters, Ada Meschberger, of the home; Zipora Meschberger of Newton, Kan., (one sister, Mrs. Zilla Wilkowske, preceded her in death); three brothers, Daniel Meschberger of Stafford, Kan., Rufus Meschberger of Calumet, Okla., and Silas Meschberger of Sheldon, Mo.; eight nieces and five nephews.
Funeral services were held in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in El Reno on May 14, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Bob Schmidt, with the message brought by Rev. Warkentin of Clinton, Okla.
