Vickie Meiners, age 14, has passed from our midst after a brave fight against leukemia. She realized her time was short, wanting to see those near and dear. Funeral services were held April 30 at the Science Ridge church with Edw. Stalter in charge. He used as his text Zechariah 8:5, "And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof." Appropriate selections were sung by girls from the church. She leaves her parents, Larry and Deloris, three brother and one sister, grandparents and a host of relatives and friends. — Ada Wade
