Goshen Senior Dies in Georgia Accident

Goshen, Ind. — A highway accident near Americus, Ga. claimed the life of Rick May, 22, a senior biology major at Goshen College, according to a message received at the college on Sept. 21.

Rick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil May of rural Flanagan, Ill., was a member of a folk music group that toured as a representative of the college. He had been a student here for the past three and a half years.

Services for Goshen Senior in Illinois

Flanagan, Ill. — Funeral services were held at the Waldo Mennonite Church near here on Sept. 24 for Rick May, 22, a senior at Goshen College who was fatally injured in a traffic accident in Georgia. Rev. David Eshleman, the pastor, officiated.

Rick was the son of Virgil and Evelyn May of this community. He was working at the Koinonia Farm near Americus, Ga., and his death resulted when the car he was driving veered into the path of a truck loaded with peanuts.
