Girl Killed When Car Hits Bicycle

Ephrata, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the Weaverland Mennonite Church for Nancy Louise Martin, 9, rural East Earl girl who was instantly killed May 26 in a traffic accident. More than 1,000 persons attended the viewing the evening before the funeral.

The girl was riding her bicycle to the home of a neighbor, carrying a pet dog in the basket, when she was struck from the rear by a car driven by Mrs. Mervin Good of Terre Hill. Mrs. Good said her vision was obscured by glare from the rising sun, and she was absolved of any negligence in the accident.

Nancy Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Martin, was in the second grade at Union Grove Elementary School.
