Traveling alone in his truck, Martin crashed into the rear of the combine being pulled by a tractor driven by Marion Stransky. The accident occurred after dark. Both the truck and combine were demolished. Stransky escaped with minor injuries.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held Oct. 16 at the Wellman Mennonite Church, with Rev. Noah Landis officiating. Survivors include the widow and two small daughters of the home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Martin of Wellman; three sisters and one brother.

Iowa Farmer Killed As Truck Hits Combine

Kalona, Iowa. — A truck-combine collision on a county road 10 miles north of Washington, Ia. the evening of Oct. 15 resulted in instant death for Larry L. Martin, 25-year-old farmer of the Wellman community.

Traveling alone in his truck, Martin crashed into the rear of the combine being pulled by a tractor driven by Marion Stransky. The accident occurred after dark. Both the truck and combine were demolished. Stransky escaped with minor injuries.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held Oct. 16 at the Wellman Mennonite Church, with Rev. Noah Landis officiating. Survivors include the widow and two small daughters of the home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Martin of Wellman; three sisters and one brother.
