Lancaster County Retired Farmer Dies After Two-Car Crash

Ephrata, Pa. — Injuries suffered in a two-car crash near here Nov. 27 are believed to have caused the death of Hoover H. Martin, 75.

A retired farmer and 25-year employee of the New Holland Meat Market, he was treated for chest and scalp injuries after the accident and released, but died the following day at his home in Ephrata. It is thought internal injuries related to the crash caused his death.

Mrs. Martin, 78, suffered serious head injuries, and a young couple in the other car also was hospitalized.
