Mary (Boese) Martens was born in Marion County, Kansas on Nov. 24, 1884. At an early age she was baptized into the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel, Kan. In 1902 she moved with her parents, G. B. Kliewers, to Gotebo, Okla.

She was married to Jacob H. Martens on July 13, 1905. To this union nine children were born. Two of the children preceded her in death, one in infancy and Leland in 1951. Her husband died Dec. 6, 1956.

Surviving are Irven of Hemet, Calif., Rev. Alvin Martens of Ardmore, Okla., Eldon of Springdale, Ark., Jake of Jetmore, Kan., Mrs. Cliff (Ruth) Chasteen [''sic'' Chastain], Mrs. Tommy (Hilda) Heldermon of Hinton, and Mrs. Frank (Emma) Heldermon of Claremore, Okla.; also 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

MRS. MARY MARTINS [sic MARTENS]

Mary (Boese) Martens was born in Marion County, Kansas on Nov. 24, 1884. At an early age she was baptized into the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel, Kan. In 1902 she moved with her parents, G. B. Kliewers, to Gotebo, Okla.

She was married to Jacob H. Martens on July 13, 1905. To this union nine children were born. Two of the children preceded her in death, one in infancy and Leland in 1951. Her husband died Dec. 6, 1956.
