MR. PETER C. MARTENS

Mr. Peter C. Martens passed away July 21 at the age of 66 years. He was born May 5, 1897 near Winkler, Manitoba. He married Tina Heide May 13, 1917, after which they moved to a farm a few miles from Winkler. In 1952 he was baptized and accepted into the Winkler M.B. Church. In 1957 he suffered a first stroke, followed by a second in 1960, as a result his right side was completely paralized. He spent the remaining years in hospital and homes for the aged, and finally at home in a wheel chair.

Mourning his death are his wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters, and 16 grandchildren.
