Marriage of 78 Years Ended by Death

Lancaster, Pa. — A marriage that lasted more than 78 years — one of the longest in the nation — was broken by the death here of Mrs. A. K. Mann on Sunday, April 16.

The couple were married on Oct. 31, 1888. Mrs. Mann, a member of the Millersville Mennonite church, was 99 at the time of death. Her husband is 103. Until his 100th year he regularly went to his office at A. K. Mann & Son Tobacco Co.
