text of obituary:

MRS. GLADYS YODER MAAG

Mrs. Gladys Amanda Yoder Maag, daughter of Amos E. and Lydia Yoder, was born at Belleville, Pa., on April 7, 1905, and departed from this life at the home of her parents near Orrville, Ohio on April 24, 1949, aged 44 years and 17 days, after 15 years illness.

On June 5, 1927, she was united in marriage to John Wallace Maag, who survives her, as well as two children, Mrs. Beverly Ann Meyers of Orrville, Ohio, John Philip Maag of Barberton, Ohio, and one grandchild, Barbara Jean Meyers of Orrville, Ohio. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos E. Yoder of Orrville, and three sisters, Mrs. Rilla Shoup of Barberton, Ohio, Mrs. Lucille Markley of Meriden, Conn., and Mrs. Julia Ross of Columbus, Ohio. One sister, Pauline May, preceded her in death.

A large number of relatives and friends who have been saddened by Mrs. Maag’s long period of suffering also mourn her departure.

In her youth Mrs. Maag united with the Salem Mennonite church near Dalton, Ohio, and remained a faithful member of that congregation, though for many years she was unable to attend services. Her constant and abiding faith and her patient endurance of extreme suffering serve as an outstanding example of the true Christian witness to all who knew her.
