JULIUS LUGOWSKI

Julius Lugowski was born August 16, 1884 in Poland where he spent his early years. During his youth from 1907 to 1912 he worked in the South American countries, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Panama, returning later to Europe. During World War I he was sent to Russia from which he returned to Poland again in 1918. He was married in 1913 to Hulda Bartel to which union the Lord gave five children of whom two survive. The family lived in Poland from 1918 to 1945 and West Germany from 1945 to 1962. In that year he moved to Canada with his wife to live with his son in Kitchener, Ontario.

He was baptized and accepted into the Baptist Church at Siemiont Kowo, Poland, in 1900.

Mr. Lugowski died May 2 in the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. The funeral was in the Kitchener MB Church with Rev. I. H. Tiessen in charge. He is survived by his wife, Hulda; a son Leonard and family of Kitchener; and a daughter, (Mrs.) Agneta Huber of Bridgeport, Conn.
