Retired Merchant And Banker of Berne Dies at Age 90

Berne, Ind. — Noah Luginbill, 90, well-known retired merchant and banker here, died Sept. 23 at Adams County Memorial Hospital.

The funeral was conducted Thursday in the chapel of the First Mennonite Church, where he was long an active member.

A native of this community, Mr. Luginbill was associated with Sprunger, Lehman and Company here for a period of 60 years, from 1899 to 1959. He clerked in the store for many years, and held the positions of secretary and president of the firm. He was also cashier of the former People's State Bank at one time, and was secretary of the Berne Furniture Company when it was organized.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Milo Habegger of Berne and Mrs. Tillman Habegger of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lewis J. Habegger of Berne.
