Word has been received here that Rev. C. Warren Long, 63, long-time pastor of the Willow Springs Mennonite Church, Tiskilwa, Ill., died at his home on Jan. 22.

Long-Time Pastor At Tiskilwa, Ill. Dies

Tiskilwa, Ill. — Funeral services were conducted at the Willow Springs Mennonite Church here for Rev. C. Warren Long, 64, who had served as pastor of this congregation for nearly 20 years. Rev. Long died unexpectedly at his home Jan. 22 of an apparent heart attack.

A native of Nappanee, Ind., he was a graduate of the Goshen College Academy and Goshen College. During his long service to the church he served as pastor of the Peoria Mennonite Church and the Bellevue Church at Peoria. He was instrumental in organizing the Illinois Sunday School Normal and was its director from 1933 to 1937.

Rev. Long also served in other capacities in the Illinois Mennonite Conference and for some years was a member of the Mennonite Board of Missions.

Survivors include his second wife, the former Esther Mae Eby; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Gibson of Goshen, Ind. and Mrs. Stanley Albrecht of Tiskilwa; seven grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.
