• Mrs. Marie W. Lohrentz, 79, former missionary to China and long active in the work of the General Conference, died Friday, March 10, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after suffering a stroke of paralysis. She was a resident of Schowalter Villa at Hesston, and had been in ill health after several earlier strokes. The former Marie Wollman, she married Dr. A. M. Lohrentz at Freeman, S. D. in 1921 and they served in China from 1921 to 1927. Dr. Lohrentz was a well known physician and surgeon specializing in eye, ear, nose and throat and practiced for many years at McPherson. He died in 1962. Mrs. Lohrentz donated her body for medical science. A memorial service was conducted Monday evening at the Bethel College Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. John Esau and Rev. Esko Loewen officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John F. (Lois) Enns of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; two sons, Harold C. of Foster City Calif. and Walter W. of Wichita; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John Sprecher of Sioux Falls, S. D.; and two brothers, Dr. A. A. Wollman of Huron, S. D. and Dr. Walter Wollman of El Paso, Texas.
