MANITOBA YOUTH DROWNS; CONSTRUCTION WORKER CRITICALLY INJURED

Altona, Man. — Funeral services were held at the Altona Bergthaler Church for Terry Loewen, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy Loewen who drowned in the Cavalier, N. D. swimming pool while in swimming with a church youth group. A non-swimmer, he somehow got into the deep end of the pool.

Steinbach, Man. — Gordon Dueck, 25, son of Rev. and Mrs. J. P. Dueck, of Steinbach, was critically injured while working for Penner Construction at Rossburn, Man. He was still unconscious some days after the accident.
