Altona, Man. &#8212; Three persons lost their lives in separate accidents in the Altona and Winkler communities within a period of eight days.

Jack T. Zacharias, 44, farmer of the Greenfarm district, was killed the evening of May 11 when the tractor he was driving flipped over backwards and crushed him underneath. The accident occurred as he tried to pull a truck out of a ditch. Funeral services were held May 16 at the Winkler M. B. Church.

Early in the morning of May 15 a small European car went out of control and overturned near Winkler, killing 20-year-old Ralph T. Loewen, son of Mr and Mrs. Ben H. Loewen of Winkler. His companion, Lenore Seibel, was seriously injured.

Isaac E. Letkeman, 54, of Haskett was fatally injured May 18 when his truck went out of control and turned over near Winkler.

Three Accidental Deaths in Southern Manitoba Area

Altona, Man. — Three persons lost their lives in separate accidents in the Altona and Winkler communities within a period of eight days.

Jack T. Zacharias, 44, farmer of the Greenfarm district, was killed the evening of May 11 when the tractor he was driving flipped over backwards and crushed him underneath. The accident occurred as he tried to pull a truck out of a ditch. Funeral services were held May 16 at the Winkler M. B. Church.
