Train Accident Kills Three In One Family
TRIPLE FUNERAL HELD AT COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH
Coaldale, Alberta—Three members of one family were killed when their car was struck by a train at a railway crossing near here on June 24. Dead are Mrs. Peter Loewen and children Karl and Elizabeth. Critically injured were Mr. Loewen and son Richard. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 27, in the Mennonite Brethren church, with Rev. David Pankratz and Rev. David Dyck in charge.
Mr. and Mrs. Loewen had been employed by Mennonite farmers in this community. They came to Canada from Germany in 1952.
