ISAAC D. LOEWEN

Isaac D. Loewen of Virgil, Ont., passed away on January 5. Funeral services were held in the Virgil Church on January 9 with Rev. J. G. Baerg and Rev. John Penner officiating. Mr. Loewen was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota on August 19, 1891. Family moved to Saskatchewan in 1899. He was converted, baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren church in 1906. Moved to Ontario in 1949 and married to Betty Steingardt, March 5, 1950. Developed a heart condition after a case of pneumonia in 1961. Entered hospital January 3 and died unexpectedly two days later. Survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, three daughters, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was the son of Cornelius and Anna Loewen.
