Elizabeth Loewen of Tabor Home, Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Mar. 12. She was born Sept. 24, 1904 in Olgafeld, southern Russia. The family moved to Saratova, Siberia. Here she met and married Henry Isaac Loewen June 7, 1923. She received the Lord early in life and was baptized and received into Saratova MB Church in August, 1924. In 1927 they immigrated to Foxwarren, Man., where they farmed. In 1941 they moved to Yarrow, B.C. joined Yarrow MB Church. After farming in Yarrow for 30 years, they retired to Clearbrook, joining King Road MB Church. Isaac died in 1975. She transferred to Clearbrook MB Church. She cherished church fellowship and participated whenever possible. Her ministry was one of prayer and support for missions, especially prison ministry. She prayed much for her family that all might follow the Lord. Predeceased by her husband, 1 granddaughter and 1 sister, she is mourned by her children Abram of North Delta, B.C., Henry of Marion, KS , Elma Hamm of Abbotsford, B.C., Mary Loewen of Richmond, B.C., Anton of Surrey, B.C., Isaac of Courtenay, B.C., David of Chilliwack, B.C., Ruth Harder of Manson, WA, Daniel of Chilliwack, Elsie Fiddler of Kelowna, B.C. and Gordon of Yarrow; 44 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 3 brothers. The funeral was Mar. 16 in Clearbrook MB Church, with John E. Klassen and Jacob Pauls ministering.
