— Word was received here that Mrs. Fred Loeffer [''sic'' Loeffler] of Elbing died very suddenly at her home there at 1:25 a.m. last Sunday. Quite late in the evening Mrs. Loeffler said to her husband that she was feeling quite ill. Being unable to rest while lying down, she got up and sat at the kitchen table, where her husband remained at her side to assist her in any way possible. Suddenly he noticed that her head was reclining forward and in a few moments life had ebbed away. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Zion Mennonite church in Elbing, of which she was a member.
