EDITH LITWILLER
Edith Mary Litwiller was born to John and Anna (Iutzi) Litwiller on Aug. 13, 1899 in Newark Township near Middleton,Mich. She peacefully passed away on July 10, 1974 in the Carson City Hospital, reaching the age of 74.
She was converted at the age of 17 and was baptized by Min. Hiram J. Mininger on Jan. 7, 1917, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, to which she remained faithful until death.
She remained at home faithfully caring for her parents until their deaths in 1957. She was a generous and unselfish person, always ready to help others when help was needed.
She suffered a series of strokes beginning in January 1973 and was tenderly cared for by her family in the home of her brother Gladwin and wife until her final illness, when she was taken to the hospital. She remained cheerful and patient throughout her illness and all who knew er and loved her will never forget her friendly smile of welcome.
Those who mourn her passing are two brothers, Gladwin and wife Mereta of Carson City, Mich. and Emerson and wife Frieda of Youngtown, Ariz.; one sister, Ruby and husband Alonzo Wesenberg of Ithaca, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ella Litwiller of Middleton, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Min. Glenn Litwiller; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Mastre and Edna and Mabel, who died in infancy; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.
