ALVIN CARL LINSENMEYER

Alvin Carl Linsenmeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Linsenmeyer was born Nov. 13, 1941, at Beatrice, Neb.

On June 25, 1960, he met with a fatal tractor accident. After cheerfully leaving home that afternoon, his Master came to meet him before he got to the field where he had gone to work. He had attained the age of 18 years, seven months, and 12 days.

He resided with his parents on the farm southwest of Beatrice. He attended the rural school nearby. Here he completed his 8th grade education, then entered Beatrice High school where he was graduated with the class of 1959.

Having been raised in a Christian home, he was baptized upon confession of his faith and joined the Beatrice Mennonite church on April 15, 1956, under the pastorate of Rev. Ralph K. Weber. Here he continued active in church service, being a loyal and faithful servant of his Lord. He was President of the Youth Fellowship group of the church.

His quiet and sunny disposition displayed his Christian training and character, making him beloved by all who knew him. He was also active in 4-H and F.F.A. work, which brought him many happy associations and friends. At the time of his passing, he served as President of Junior Leaders Club.

His early departure is mourned by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Linsenmeyer; two brothers, Dale, who presently is serving in Pax service in Greece, and Dean; one sister, Janice Marie of the home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Linsenmeyer, and Frank Wiebe, all of Beatrice; and a host of relatives and friends.

On June 30 a family prayer service followed by service at the Beatrice Mennonite church were conducted by the Rev. Henry W. Goossen, with burial at the Frist Mennonite church cemetery.
