Newton and Vicinity

Emma N. Linscheid, 82, died Friday, Aug. 22, at her North Newton home after a brief illness. She was a retired school teacher and had lived in this area most of her life. She was born at Arlington, Kan. in 1893 to John P. and Katherine Linscheid. The only survivor in the immediate family is a brother, Alfred G. Linscheid of Newton. Graveside services were held at 10 a. m. Monday at the Arlington Cemetery. A memorial service was conducted Monday evening at the Bethel College Church, of which she was a member. Rev. Esko Loewen and Rev. John Esau were in charge.
