MARTHA REED LINHOSS

Martha Jane (Reed) Lindhoss [sic Linhoss], daughter of Elias and Mary (Blosser) Reed, was born in Elkhart County, Indiana on June4, 1885; died of a stroke in the New London, Ohio Hospital on May 24, 1965, aged 79 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

She was married to George C. Linhoss of Staunton, Va. on Dec. 13, 1909 near North Lima, Ohio by Rev. A. J. Steiner. Together they lived in mutual love and happiness for over 55 years. Their only child Georg C., Jr., preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1911.

Surviving her are her husband; three sisters, Ada, Mrs. Menno Wenger of Goshen, Ind., Luella, Mrs. W. L. Jones of Madison, Kan., and Esther, Mrs. J. B. Riffe of Texhoma, Okla.; two brothers, Dr. Homer B. Reed of Los Angeles, Calif. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Alan and Clayton Reed, and one sister Hannah, Mrs. Ervin E. Yoder of Los Angeles, Calif.

Martha accepted her Saviour in her youth and was a faithful Christian until her passing. She was active in church and community affairs. Her kind and loving disposition won for her many friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Menough. Interment was made in Ruggles Cemetery, Nova, Ohio.
