Archbold. Ohio. — A head-on collision in nearby Delta, Ohio on April 6 resulted in fatal injuries to Joseph Liechty, 59, of near Delta and severe injuries to four other persons riding in the two cars involved.
Mr. and Mrs. Liechty were riding with Mr. and Mrs. Perry Davis when the car, driven by Davis, was struck head-on by a car driven by Arthur Whitaker, 17. Mr. Liechty had just been treated at the Hutchins clinic for a chicken bone lodged in his throat. In the crash, Mr. Davis suffered a broken leg, the two women, shock and bruises, and James Nofziger, a passenger in the other car, bruises. Funeral services for Mr. Liechty were held at the Central Mennonite church on April 10. He was the third resident of this area to die in an auto accident within a few weeks' time.
