— Reporting the death of Christian S. Lichti, the Wayland, Ia., News of Oct. 3 gives the following details about his life:

"Christian S. Lichti, who left the Wayland community when 13 years of age, died in the General Hospital at Geneva, Nebraska, Sept. 19, 1940. Mr. Lichti was 66 years old. He was born at St. Agatha, Ontario, July 26, 1874. In 1904 he was married to Miss Celesta Kauffman of Nebraska. He is survived by his widow and by five daughters, Mrs. Glen Klopfenstein of Ohio, Mrs. Edd Kennel of Shickley, Nebr., Mrs. Albert Shefler and Mrs. Wes. Shefler of Idaho and Miss Delsie Lichti of Ohio. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Jacob B. Kauffman of Wayland, Iowa, Mrs. Ben Schlegel of Shickley, Nebr., Nick Lichti of Shickley, Nebr., and Dan Lichti of Bruning, Nebr., and ten grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Mennonite Church of which he was a member, on Sunday, Sept. 22.
